Success in implant

Therapy is said to have happened when the result is lasting and permanent. Unfortunately, often in dentistry successes must say temporary, because the artifacts that are implanted are subject to wear. It must not be forgotten that the oral cavity is subjected to strong mechanical stress, such as to make extremely sensitive area. For these reasons we must add the peri-implant hard physiological bone resorption.

For all these and other reasons we might say that in '85% of cases we can talk about successful installations in 10 years. With constant research, the success rates continue to increase.

After a few years after surgery, some patients needing minor surgery, corrective bone grafting, in order to compensate for the physiological bone loss that occurs around natural teeth as well as around titanium implants.

When we speak of periimplantitis we refer specifically to inflammation and infection of the peri-implant tissues, which can occur at any time and can cause damage in the bone surrounding the implant. Responsible for this disease are various strains of bacteria and fungi that normally harbored in the human oral cavity. Antibiotic therapy and the specific use of LASER around the lesion can block the infection and reverse it.

To prevent any type of postoperative complication is advisable to carry out regular monitoring visits, recommended by a doctor every six months. The dentist will check on these occasions the patient's oral hygiene and especially the state of the prosthetic structures. The oral hygiene and plaque control are primarily   important for the prevention of processes of bone destruction in the peri-implant hard. The patient should therefore fully familiar with the techniques of oral hygiene recommended in case of implianti. And 'this depends very largely the success or failure of therapy.

The titanium dental implants

Titanium is a metal widely used today in surgery for his biological neutrality, as it ensures the acceptance by the body.
Its density, equal to 4.51 g/cm3 makes a material particularly suitable for use in aerospace where weight ratio - force is essential.
Remarkable its excellent r existence corrosive. The titanium is naturally covered with an oxide film, which is reformed immediately if damaged, making it a metal between the most resistant.
Moreover, the material includes among its features to be anti-magnetic. This feature will be to make it particularly suitable for the introduction into the human body and specifically in the bone structures. Unfortunately its high melting point makes it difficult to use in dental laboratories, as the welding of the material requires highly specialized techniques and tools.
Low thermal conductivity. This allows the use of titanium in the oral cavity, subject to various stimuli of heat and cold.
The grades of titanium.
We can distinguish 4 degrees in healthcare Titanium ASTM F64, and these will be related to the purity of the material and its mechanical strength.
While the first can be the most pure, this is much too pliable, so as to be simply used to make titanium membranes that allow the guided tissue regeneration.
The second degree is certainly more durable but still too flexible for use in endosseous implants. The risk is clearly to break.
The third grade has not only purity but also resistance, thus constituting an excellent implant material.
The Isomed uses of titanium grade 4. It contains higher percentage of ligands, which give it a surprising strength.

Pictures of Studio

The Dental Office of Dr. Eugene Conte has the most modern dental equipment. It consists of 5 meeting, 3 intraoral radiography equipped with computers with digital x-rays to detect a low level of X-rays for patients (10 times lower than conventional radiography). The sterilization room is equipped with fractionated vacuum autoclave class B, and 2 spare in class S autoclaves for sterilization of all surgical instruments. The orthopantomograph complete digital radio equipment for the diagnostic study of the realization in Ortopantomografie, both for visits and for postsurgical. The Studio is equipped with neodymium YAG laser device for the treatment of peri implantitis, gingival pockets, collars and desensitization of soft tissue surgery. For bone surgery, the firm is equipped with piezoelectric device with spikes that cut and dissect bone sparing only the soft tissues. For courses and projections of live surgery, the firm has a training room with 115 seats.
